Zentreya is one of the most popular and enigmatic VTubers in the world. She is known for her role-playing, gaming, and meme-filled streams on Twitch and YouTube, as well as her affiliation with the VTuber group VShojo. She is also noted for her use of a speech-to-text-to-speech system to produce a synthesized voice, which adds to her mysterious persona.

But who is Zentreya really? What does she look like behind her virtual avatar? Has she ever done a face reveal? These are some of the questions that many fans have been asking for a long time. In this article, we will try to answer them based on the available information and evidence.

Zentreya’s Background and Identity

According to Virtual YouTuber Wiki1, Zentreya is a female English-language VTuber who debuted in 2017. She was born on May 20, 1993, making her 30 years old as of 2023. She is 177 cm (5’10″) tall and has a zodiac sign of Taurus. Her original name is Zentreya, but she has many nicknames such as Zen, Dragonqueen, Zenner, Zentraya, Commander, Fearless Leader, Scheme-Machine, Big Ghey, Raggity Anne, Zentrenya, and Zentreeya.

Zentreya’s character is described as “a cyborg from a post-apocalyptic future, sent back in time to prevent the apocalypse. She’s very headstrong and tends to yell at everyone around her, but loves meeting new people! She’s become accustomed to 21st century culture, and enjoys memes and pranks.”

Zentreya originally came from the VRChat role-playing community, where she was the founder of a group called the Anti-Lewd Army. She began as a mute streamer (one who streams without voice), and created primarily VRChat-based content. Zen’s decision to remain mute was inspired by a desire to protect her real-life identity1.

Zentreya joined VTuber group VShojo in November 2020 alongside Nyatasha Nyanners, Ironmouse, Projekt Melody, Froot, Hime Hajime, and Silvervale. VShojo is a talent agency that focuses on English-speaking VTubers and provides them with creative freedom and support.

Zentreya’s Appearance and Voice

Zentreya has gone through several changes in her appearance and voice over the years. She started with a 3D avatar designed by jjinomu1, which was a red-haired cyborg girl with horns, wings, and a tail. She wore a red suit with black accents and a white scarf.

In 2021, she switched to a 2D avatar designed by yuni1, which was similar to her previous one but with more details and expressions. She also changed her outfit to a red dress with black gloves and boots.

In 2022, she updated her 2D avatar again with the help of Echanis Enicha (designer) and Iron Vertex (rigging)1. Her new avatar had more realistic proportions and movements, as well as different hairstyles and accessories. She also changed her outfit to a red jacket with black pants and shoes.

Zentreya’s voice has also evolved over time. She initially used a text-to-speech program called Balabolka3 to generate her voice, which sounded robotic and monotone. She later switched to another program called Voicemod4, which allowed her to customize her voice with different effects and filters. She currently uses a voice that sounds more natural and feminine, but still has some distortion and modulation.
