James Timothy McCarver was an American professional baseball player and television sports analyst who lived from October 16, 1941, to February 16, 2023.

From 1959 until 1980, he was a catcher in Major League Baseball, most notably with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he was a two-time All-Star, a part of two World Series championship teams, and came in second place in the 1967 National League (NL) Most Valuable Player Award vote.

Anne McDaniel is the wife of a former baseball player and broadcaster Tim McCarver. Despite her husband’s fame, Anne McDaniel has lived a relatively private life, with little information available about her personal or professional background.

What is known is that Anne McDaniel and Tim McCarver have been married since 1983, and have three children together. In a 2013 interview, Tim McCarver described his wife as his “best friend,” and credited her with helping him navigate the ups and downs of his long career in baseball.

While Anne McDaniel has largely stayed out of the public eye, she has occasionally accompanied her husband to high-profile events, including the Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2012. She has also been involved in charitable causes, including the “Strikeout ALS” campaign, which raises awareness and funds for research into the neurological disease.

Despite her low profile, Anne McDaniel’s role as a supportive spouse and mother has undoubtedly played an important part in her family’s success and happiness. While her husband’s achievements in baseball and broadcasting have earned him accolades and recognition, it is clear that Anne McDaniel has been an important part of his journey, providing love, support, and stability throughout the years.
