Is Melissa Blakesley Larry Fitzgerald’s Spouse?

As hinted earlier, Larry Fitzgerald is not married and has never been. Despite this, it has been speculated in some quarters that Melissa Blakesley is his wife; this is not true. As you would soon learn, we probably shouldn’t even consider Melissa as Larry’s girlfriend anymore.

However, her relationship with the famous NFL player is what brought her to the limelight and has remained what she is most known for. Fitzgerald’s relationship status at the moment may not be known but it is still widely believed that Melissa Blakesley is his spouse.

You wouldn’t search hard to find that Larry Darnell Fitzgerald Jr. was born on the 31st of August 1983. He was born in Minneapolis but raised in Richfield, both in Minnesota. Details of his upbringing and early life are easily accessible to the public but the same can’t be said about Melissa. Facts about her family background and childhood are hard to come by but we can confirm that she was born somewhere in Illinois. According to several reports, she was born on the 20th of May 1979. This means she is over four years older than Larry.

Melissa was born to Jean and James Blakesley. She isn’t their only child but one of their four kids. She has three siblings: a brother named after their father James Blakesley, and two sisters named Anna Blakesley and Cherin Blakesley. That’s as far as anyone could tell about the family background of the woman famed as Larry Fitzgerald’s partner. This is hardly a surprise as she only became a public figure when she started dating the NFL wide receiver. But then, that does not mean that her life revolves around the athlete.

Melissa Blakesley Is College-Educated and Works As a Beauty Influencer

What Larry Fitzgerald does for a living has never been in question. From 2004 to 2020, he played professional football with the Arizona Cardinals. Even though he is a free agent as of this writing, he has several business engagements that have kept him busy. The same can’t be said about the woman regarded as his spouse.

According to some reports, Melissa Blakesley is college-educated; it is said that she attended East Tennessee State University, a public research university located in Johnson City, Tennessee. What she studied in college isn’t clear, just as it is difficult to tell what she does for a living.

We can only affirm that she is a beauty influencer; this is based on her Instagram profile where Melissa described herself as a “style aficionado”. She also has engagements related to skin and body care.

Melissa Blakesley and Larry Fitzgerald Started Dating In 2010

The Melissa Blakesley and Larry Fitzgerald relationship, as far as the public knows, began in early 2010 which is when people began seeing the two together in public. How they met is a tale that has been left untold just as the circumstances surrounding the beginning of their relationship are best known to them.

Because of the drama that came with Larry’s previous relationships, Melissa and Larry received a lot of attention from football fans. While they seemed to be very fond of each other and attended many public events together, their relationship was troubled and they dated on and off until 2020 when they seem to have eventually parted for good.

Before that, they had a public fight the previous year which saw Blakesley mock Larry on Instagram for not being able to win the Super Bowl. Until recently, Melissa had called the football player out several times online, alleging that he is toxic and a liar. The NFL player had reportedly claimed that she was holding her back from moving on from the relationship.

They Have a Child Together But Are Both Parents to Two Sons

Before Melissa Blakesley, Larry Fitzgerald had dated other women, including Angela Nazario, a former cheerleader. When they started dating, the American footballer was only 22 years old while Nazario was 35. The relationship ended on a sour note with allegations of domestic violence against Larry. While it lasted, they had a child together named Devin Fitzgerald.

Melissa and Larry had their only child together in 2013, a son named Apollo Fitzgerald. He is 10 years old as he was born on the 23rd of April 2013. While his birth was a significant moment for them, it wasn’t enough to keep the relationship going. Just as Apollo isn’t Larry’s first child, he is also not his mother’s first. Before him, Melissa had had a son named Darion Dylan Blakesley; the identity of his father is yet to be revealed.
