How Did Jacob Behney Become Bobby Green’s Father?

Bobby Green, an American professional mixed martial artist, is Jacob Behney’s adopted son. The professional mixed martial artist was born on September 9, 1986, in San Bernardino, to California Mitchell Davis and Connie Scott Davis. Unfortunately, his parents were irresponsible, as his father was imprisoned for a crime when he was still younger, and his mother was a drug addict. This made them unable to care for and cater to their three children.

Their negligence made their son go into a foster home at the age of 5, and he also had a taste of other foster homes as he was moved frequently. Following the absence of his parents in his upbringing, he acted weird and also did so many things that seemed out of the box. Irrespective of his behavior, he was a good sportsperson who started wrestling while in high school. With time, he started doing menial jobs and later took to wrestling, but he began dropping out because he had no strong supporting force.

However, Bobby Green saw it as an opportunity to train to become a better mixed martial artist. This made him register with Jacob Behney’s gym, where he trained under the Jiu-Jitsu instructor, who drilled him to become a better person and improved his fighting skills. Beyond his training, Jacob Behney also played a fatherly role to Bobby, and with time, their bond became strong for that of a father and son.

The Jiu-Jitsu instructor did not only play the fatherly role for Bobby, but the MMA also recognized him as his father. However, it is not known if he legally adopted him, but he is regarded as Booby Green’s father today.

Why Did Bobby Green’s Father Go To Jail?

While Jacob Behney is regarded as a life and career saver by Bobby, he also had his reruns with the authorities, which landed him in prison. The Jiu-Jitsu instructor revealed that he was charged with kidnapping and other crimes, which landed him in prison. When he was arrested and sentenced was not mentioned, as well as how long he spent in prison, but he served in a prison in California.

Meanwhile, in a podcast by Joe Rogan, Bobby, who faced a 90-day prison term, and his father revealed what their prison experience was like. The Jiu-Jitsu instructor revealed what it was like to survive in prison as a first-time offender in the podcast. He stated that all other races were against the black community while in prison.

Jacob revealed that it was really annoying to be a black back there; however, they really fought and gained their ground, knocking the other races out. He revealed that different races were not allowed to interact, and this almost got him killed. The Jiu-Jitsu instructor stated that while in prison, a black guy asked who wanted to learn how to play chess, and he indicated being unaware of the rules.

Based on the fact that he is white and he was sitting on a black table, all the white inmates went against him. Unknown to him that he had incurred enemies, he reluctantly went to the bathroom and was attacked by a white guy with a Swastika tattoo on his forehead. Having had an upper hand in fighting through his training for the past years, he was able to give him a beating of his life. This heated up the issue as his rival organized two other guys to kill him in his room.

Prior to the attack, an inmate in the next room warned him a few minutes before the attack, stating that once the cell door opens, some inmates would attack him. After a few minutes, the cell door opened. The rival inmates came in with weapons to kill him, and his roommate fled, leaving him to fight for his life. As the fight ensued, Jacob Behney grabbed one of the attackers and used him to block himself from being stabbed by the other attacker while choking him at the same time, leaving him unconscious.

After he noticed that the inmate was not moving, he dropped him and moved on to fight the other while the prison officers and other inmates watched. After the fight, he was sent to another cell block, where he spent a few days before he was transferred to the gymnasium.

While in his new environment, he had a better life and could move freely and do other things. He also revealed that a prison guard thanked him for teaching his rivals a lesson. When he completed his prison sentence, he was not revealed, but he is a free man.

What Is Bobby Green’s Father’s Occupation?

Jacob Behney is a lover of the arts and has pursued a career as a Jiu-Jitsu instructor and mixed martial artist coach. Before practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts, he played baseball and was a skilled catcher in high school and college. The coach also played the sports after college and looked forward to going professional but stopped along the way as he developed a penchant for Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

He revealed that baseball is a sport in which even Hall of Fame hitters still fail seven out of 10 times at the plate. This notwithstanding, it helped prepare him for the humbling adversity inherent to learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu and practicing it competitively.

According to him, it was the first thing in his life that he picked for himself, and he moved on to the art and began training to master it. He later established a Brazilian jiu-jitsu school known as the Pinnacle Mixed Martial Arts situated in Redlands, with the aim of assisting anyone who wants to learn the art through that same journey. Though when the school was established is not known, it has recorded a lot of success, with many students passing through it.

The school runs on a daily basis, with kids within the age range of 4-13 having their classes on Wednesday evenings. It also has other UFC fighters like Bobby Green, Willie Gates, Bellator’s Darrion Caldwell, and more as instructors. Through the school, he has been able to have a positive impact on the lives of many children, teens, and adults.
