More mayhem currently reigns a day after the official press conference for UFC 279 was postponed for the first time ever due to an altercation backstage involving four combatants and apparently about 100 people.

One of the UFC’s most promising prospects, Khamzat Chimaev, shockingly missed weight by 7.5 pounds, tipping in at 178.5 pounds for the middleweight contest, necessitating last-minute changes to the matchups for the main event.

What religion is Nate Diaz?

The nearly 10-pound weight difference and Chimaev’s casual demeanor have many in the community speculating that he may not have intended to make weight in the first place for his main event matchup against Nate Diaz.

This is the first time Chimaev has missed weight in the UFC since his debut in two years ago.

The UFC quickly set up completely new matchups in response to the news, moving Tony Ferguson up to face Nate Diaz in the main event. This has undoubtedly placed the 37-year-old American Mixed martial artist in the spotlight. Many are enquiring about his affiliation with respect to his religion.

According to sources, he is a Muslim however, it is up to American fighter to clarify that fact.
