Murder

The theory that Wanelda and Gary Farmer were murdered by a serial killer is one of the most popular and widely discussed theories about their disappearance. There are several reasons why this theory is so popular, including the fact that there were several serial killers active in Oklahoma at the time of their disappearance, and the fact that their case bears some similarities to other serial killings.

• Modus operandi

One of the things that makes the serial killer theory so plausible is that it fits the modus operandi of several serial killers who were active in Oklahoma at the time of Wanelda and Gary Farmer's disappearance. These serial killers typically targeted young couples, and they often abducted their victims from public places.

• Similarities to other cases

Another reason why the serial killer theory is so popular is that Wanelda and Gary Farmer's case bears some similarities to other serial killings. For example, the couple's car was found abandoned in a remote area, and there were no witnesses to their abduction. This is a common pattern in serial killings, as serial killers often abduct their victims from public places and then dispose of their bodies in remote areas.

• Lack of evidence

The lack of evidence in Wanelda and Gary Farmer's case also makes the serial killer theory more plausible. There is no physical evidence linking any specific serial killer to their disappearance, but this is not uncommon in serial killings. Serial killers often go to great lengths to avoid leaving behind evidence, and they may even change their modus operandi over time to avoid detection.

While the serial killer theory is one of the most popular and widely discussed theories about what happened to Wanelda and Gary Farmer, it is important to remember that it is just one of many theories. There is no definitive evidence to support this theory, and it is possible that Wanelda and Gary Farmer were victims of a different crime, or that they simply disappeared voluntarily.

Random act of violence

The theory that Wanelda and Gary Farmer were victims of a random act of violence is one of several theories that have been proposed to explain their disappearance. This theory suggests that the couple were randomly targeted by a stranger who had no prior connection to them.

There are several reasons why this theory is plausible. First, random acts of violence are not uncommon. In fact, they are a leading cause of death in the United States. Second, the couple's disappearance occurred in a relatively isolated area, which would have made them more vulnerable to attack.

However, there is also evidence that contradicts the random act of violence theory. For example, there were no witnesses to the couple's abduction, and their car was found abandoned in a relatively tidy condition. This suggests that the couple may have been abducted by someone they knew, or that they were involved in a staged disappearance.

Overall, the evidence is inconclusive as to whether Wanelda and Gary Farmer were victims of a random act of violence. However, this theory remains one of the most plausible explanations for their disappearance.

Lost and died

The theory that Wanelda and Gary Farmer got lost and died in the wilderness is one of several theories that have been proposed to explain their disappearance. This theory suggests that the couple became lost while hiking or camping in a remote area, and that they eventually died from exposure, starvation, or dehydration.

There is some evidence to support this theory. For example, the couple's car was found abandoned in a remote area, and there were no witnesses to their abduction. Additionally, the couple was known to enjoy hiking and camping, and they were familiar with the area where they disappeared.

However, there is also evidence that contradicts this theory. For example, the couple was well-prepared for their trip, and they had plenty of food and water. Additionally, there were no signs of a struggle or foul play at the scene of their abandoned car.Overall, the evidence is inconclusive as to whether Wanelda and Gary Farmer got lost and died in the wilderness.
