Speeli reports that Sverre Aarseth claims the title of having the world’s largest forehead, measuring a whopping 22 inches in width.

However, it’s crucial to note that Guinness World Records has not officially recognized this claim, making it subjective.

The forehead, situated just below the hairline and above the eyebrows, constitutes a distinct region on the head.

Three features delineate it, with two originating from the skull and one from the scalp.

Either the hairline or the boundary where the hair on the scalp begins to grow defines the topmost part of the forehead.

Who has the biggest forehead in the world?

Mrityunjay Das holds the world record for the largest head, as reported by Kidadl. His enormous head measures approximately 37.8 inches (96 cm) in diameter, a stark contrast to his frail body.

This substantial head size, however, is due to a medical condition called hydrocephalus, as explained by Mayo Clinic.

An abnormal accumulation of fluid in the brain’s ventricles (cavities) characterizes hydrocephalus, resulting in pain and impairing head movement.

Fortunately, Das underwent surgery that gradually reduced the size of his head, relieving him of some discomfort.

The science behind forehead size and shape

The size and shape of the forehead are linked to many scientific facts. These include three defining features: the supraorbital ridge, the temporal ridge, and the coronal suture line.

The presence of wrinkles on the brow skin is a result of the movements of brow muscles.

According to research from UK Biobank, there exists a correlation between facial size and intelligence, with larger foreheads associated with higher intelligence.
