Mirander Molander and family death

Donald, Kimberly, Miranda, and Dane Molander were traveling south on I-81 in an RV that was towing an enclosed trailer, state police said. Investigators claim that a recreational vehicle with a flat tire on an interstate highway in Pennsylvania leapt the median and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer, killing four people inside the RV and the truck driver.

According to state police, a collision occurred on Wednesday at about 8:50 p.m. on I-81 northbound, close to Chambersburg in south-central Pennsylvania.

After the tire blew out, the RV, which was moving south and carrying a trailer, crossed a grassy median and struck the truck, which was towing two trailers at once.

All four RV occupants and the truck driver were pronounced dead at the scene, and there were no other injuries that were noted.

Those who died in the RV included Donald Molander, Kimberly Molander, Miranda Molander, and Dane Molander, all of Middletown, Pennsylvania.

Authorities had to stop the road for about ten hours while they looked into the matter, and there were still delays on Thursday morning.

“Their are a lot of racing Fans in the area so this may be heartbreaking. From my old area, a entire racing family has been lost to a tragic MVA on 81. Unfortunately all passengers in the crash passed away at the scene. The Molander family, Donald Molander, Kimberly Molander, Miranda Molander, and Dane Molander, were from Middletown. The truck driver was from West Virginia. The Molander family RV blew a front tire and crossed through the median while traveling 81S and crashed head on into a tandem tractor trailer.
