Sebastian Aho, a Finnish professional ice hockey player for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL), is an alternate captain for the team. Aho made his professional hockey debut with Oulun Kärpät of the Finnish Liiga in the 2013–14 season. Aho was selected with the 35th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft due to his obvious talent.

Aho debuted in the NHL in 2016 with the Carolina Hurricanes and immediately established himself as a key cog for the club. Aho’s on-ice dominance continued in the 2018–19 season, when he set a new franchise single-season record with 30 goals and 50 assists. The Hurricanes advanced to the Eastern Conference Final that season thanks in part to his play.

Aho is well-respected off the ice for his hard work and commitment to hockey. His dedication to his craft is evident in the many awards and recognitions he has received over the course of his career. Aho is unassuming and dedicated to developing as a player and contributing to his team’s success.

Who is Sebastian Aho brother?

Samuli Aho, Sebastian’s older brother, is also a hockey player. They were raised in the same household because they were siblings. Sebastian Aho, the Carolina Hurricanes’ alternate captain, is unrelated to the Finnish forward of the same name who also plays for the team. The two hockey players have no family ties to each other.

Samuli Aho, on the other hand, spent two ice hockey seasons in Sweden with his parents but did not follow in his brother’s footsteps and pursue a career in the sport. Sebastian Aho, in an interview, said that his Swedish-born brother’s name was difficult to pronounce.

Samuli Aho’s involvement in ice hockey, if any, or whether he has moved on to other things is unknown. However, it is evident that hockey holds a special place in the hearts of the Aho family, as both Sebastian and Samuli were raised by hockey-playing parents.
