Frank Thomas has been married to Megan Celba Thomas since 2005 but he was formerly married to Elise Silver from 1992 to 2001. The former MLB player has a total of six children- three with his first wife (Sterling Edward Thomas, Sloan Alexandra Thomas , and Sydney Blake Thomas), and three with his second wife: Frank Thomas III, Ashleigh Kate Thomas, Chase Edward Thomas.

Frank Thomas is one American sportsman who achieved a lot in his heydays. As a designated hitter and first baseman, he spent the last three years of his active career with the Chicago White Sox.

Some of his notable achievements include being named unanimously as the AL’s most valuable player in 1993 and being the first White Sox player to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, this was in 2014.

The man, widely known as “The Big Hurt”, was born in Columbus, Georgia on the 27th of May 1968. As a young boy, he studied at the Columbus High School and it was there that his talents for baseball and football were honed. He went on to become a superstar professional baseball player, with his fame rubbing off on his family and those close to him.

Big Hurt has a big family that currently revolves around his second wife, Megan, and his six children. Just as it was with his MLB career, Frank is devoted and committed to being a family man. While it seems as though he has it all figured out, building his family has been a journey of some heartbreaks and disappointments.

His first marriage ended in divorce before it could clock a decade; this happened even though Frank converted to Judaism when he married the woman who’s now his ex-wife. A few years after the divorce, he met and subsequently got married to Megan Celba.

They have been a couple for over 15 years now and have nurtured a blended family with Frank’s kid from his first marriage. In all of this, people haven’t ceased wondering who Megan is and how she became a part of Big Hurt’s life.

Meet Frank Thomas’ Current Wife Megan Celba Thomas

Being one of the finest baseball players the world has ever known, information about various aspects of Frank Thomas’ existence, even his early life, is readily available for anyone who cares to look for them. For instance, we can tell that as a junior in school, he was so exceptional in the school’s baseball team and even helped them to attain a state championship win. In his senior year, he joined the basketball team where he played the forward position. While at that, he became an All-State tight end in football – the information about him is limitless but it’s not the case with his wife.

Megan Celba Thomas is mostly known for being the wife of the former professional baseball player. In that capacity, she has been in the face of the public with pictures of her and Big Hurt scattered all over her social media pages. Despite that, almost nothing is known about the family background and early life of the woman. Also, much isn’t known about what she does for a living but we have been able to gather some useful details from her social media platforms.

On her Instagram page, Megan describes herself as a “global entrepreneur” and “RFX Circle Achiever”. From what we gathered, Megan is a Rodan+ Fields Consultant. The company headquartered in San Francisco, California, is a manufacturer and multi-level marketing establishment that specializes in skincare products.

The Former MLB Star Got Married to His Current Wife In November 2005

How Frank Thomas met Megan Celba is not known, just as it is hard to tell when they began dating. It is only believed that their relationship started after Frank parted ways with his first wife. Because of how private the couple has kept their relationship, their status as a couple has been largely speculated upon, with some reports suggesting they are in a domestic partnership.

In contrast to that, it has also been reported in some quarters that Frank and Megan have been married since November 2005. A few reports narrowed the date down to the 11th of the said month and year. It is said that they had a private wedding witnessed by a few friends and close family members. This narrative seems to be legit as Megan describes herself as a “Hall of Fame Wife” on Instagram.

So far, Frank Thomas’ marriage to Megan has been going smoothly and there has never been any report of a marital crisis. From the pictures Megan shares online, one can conclude that theirs’ is a happy family that spends quality time together. The two are usually seen at the sporting events of their kids. And it’s as though they are always on vacation or embarking on some fun activities.

Frank and Megan Thomas Are Parents to Three Adorable Children

For a marriage that has witnessed over 15 years, it is only natural that the Frank-and-Megan relationship has morphed over time into a family of five. The couple has been blessed with three lovely children – two boys and a girl. Given who their father is, the kids get a lot of attention from the public but their parents have been very protective. Amidst all the unsolicited attention and invasion of their privacy, Frank and Megan have been able to create a decent level of normalcy for their kids.

Frankie Thomas is the fourth child of Frank Thomas’ six children and his second son. He is also his first child and first son with his second wife, Megan Celba Thomas. The couple had him in October 2008, a month before they celebrated their third anniversary. Frankie is barely a teenager. As such, it might be early to conclude on what the future holds for him.

However, he is already aspiring to become a professional athlete like his father. According to his Instagram page, he has been a Lake county baseball player since 2017 and a Libertyville football player since 2018. The lad has a long way to go if he must equal his father’s attainment as a sportsman. Thankfully, he has the support and guidance of Big Hurt to his advantage.

Ashleigh Kate Thomas

She is the only daughter the former MLB star has had with Megan and he is very fond of her. Frank often celebrates her birthday on social media, avowing his love for the little girl.

In a few years to come, Ashleigh would become a teenager, so it’s earlier for one to predict what the future holds for her in terms of career. If anything is certain, it’s the fact that she can count on the full support and guidance of her parents no matter what she chooses to do as an adult. The girl and her mother have been seen promoting some skincare products online, so one shouldn’t be surprised if Ashleigh decides to pursue a career in that line.

Chase Edward Thomas

• Date of Birth: September 19, 2016
• Age: 7 Years Old
• Occupation: Undetermined

Chase Edward Thomas is the sixth child and third son of the former professional baseball player. He is as well the third child and second son Big Hurt has with his second wife, Megan Celbe Thomas. The couple had Chase after a decade of marriage, precisely on the 19th of September 2016. An excited Frank took to Twitter to announce the new addition to his family, disclosing that Chase weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces at birth.

Like his older full-siblings, Chase has a lot of growing up to do and doesn’t concern himself with thoughts about the future. His pictures are scattered all over his parents’ social media pages: they are super fond of him.

The Big Hurt Met His First Wife In 1991 and They Got Married The Following Year

Frank Thomas has a marital story similar to that of most sportsmen and celebrities of this generation. His first marriage was to Elise Silver and they got married in 1992 barely a year of knowing each other. The Jewish woman is the niece of one of the pioneers of baseball in Rochester New York, Maury Silver.

Frank Thomas was already a popular name in baseball when he met Elise who grew up around the game. However, she didn’t recognize who he was when they met for the first time. This was in the spring of 1991 and they reportedly met at a restaurant in Sarasota, Florida. They had a brief chat and Hurt went about his business.

But as fate would have it, they met again the next night, a friendship developed and quickly morphed into a romance. Several months later, they were ready to become life partners, so they got married on the 8th of February 1992. As a couple, their union was blessed with three children: a son and two daughters named Sterling Edward Thomas, Sloan Alexandra Thomas, and Sydney Blake Thomas. Unfortunately, the union wouldn’t witness a decade as they parted ways in December 2001.

Why Did Frank Thomas Divorce His First Wife?

News about Frank Thomas’ separation from Elise Silver came as a surprise for many as it was widely thought that they were happily married. It’s been decades since the marriage packed up, yet Frank and Elise are still unwilling to discuss why the union failed. We can only tell that it was Elise that filed for divorce, this was in November 1999. Reports have it that she accused Frank of some wrongdoings which she wouldn’t disclose, and cited that as the basis for her quest to dissolve the marriage.

The reason behind the end of their marriage has largely been a mystery but it has been speculated in some quarters that their personality differences might have caused their separation. This assumption is based on the fact that Frank and Elise dated for only a few months before they got married.

Even Elise expressed this sentiment in an interview she did while they were married. “We never really dated”, she said; as she explained that they had known each other for only two weeks when they moved in together. According to her, she was skeptical but Frank was so sure. Thus she yielded, despite the vow she made earlier in her life to never marry a baseball player.

Details of their divorce settlement were never disclosed to the public but it is often described as expensive. From what is obvious, they agreed to share custody of their kids as the former MBL player has always been involved in the life of his kids.

Meet The Three Kids He Had With Elise Silver

The Big Hurt and Elise have long moved on from what they had but for the rest of their lives, they will intermittently have to come together for the sake of the three children their marriage produced.

Sterling Edward Thomas

• Date of Birth: July 15, 1992
• Age: 31 Years Old
• Occupation: Undetermined

Sterling is the first son of Big Hurt and his oldest child. Before the former baseball player and his ex-wife got married in February 1992, they were already anticipating the arrival of Sterling. Roughly five months into their marriage, they welcomed the child who has now grown into a responsible adult.

Sterling has largely lived his life away from the limelight. Apart from his pictures that are seen on his father’s social media pages, he is hardly seen anywhere. Many must have anticipated he would follow his father’s footstep and become a professional athlete, this is not the case. To the best of our knowledge, he is not a sportsman, even though we can’t tell what he does for a living.

Sloan Alexandra Thomas

• Date of Birth: March 23, 1994
• Age: 29 Years Old
• Occupation: Undetermined

About two years after Frank and Elise had their first child together, they welcomed their second, a daughter named Sloan. She is the first daughter of Frank Thomas and like her older brother, much isn’t known about what she does for a living. But through her father’s Instagram page, we can tell she is college-educated.
