Daya Net Worth $4 Million

Daya is of mixed heritage; she has Indian-American and Punjab ancestry, and her stage name Daya is the word for ‘compassion’ in the Sanskrit language. She spent her childhood in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania where she went to Mt. Lebanon High School.

Daya started taking piano lessons from the tender age of three, and as she got older her interest in music became greater, and she soon started playing other instruments, including the guitar, saxophone, ukulele and flute. When she was eleven years old, Daya started taking jazz piano lessons, and then enrolled at the Accelerando Music Conservatory, owned by Christina Chirumbolo.

While there, Daya came into contact with producer and songwriter Gino Barletta, who later helped her launch her professional career.

Chirumbolo and Barletta started a music camp – INSIDE ACCESS – and invited Daya to start working on her music. Traveling to Los Angeles where the camp was stationed was one of the most fruitful Daya’s travels, as she started working with Brett McLaughlin, Britten Newbill and others at Paramount Recording Studios, and it was there that her hit single “Hide Away”, was created, and eventually reached double platinum status in the US. Promoted by Steve Zap of Z Entertainment, the single also became a radio hit, and so Daya signed to Barletta’s newfound record label, Artbeatz. After this initial success, Daya started working on an EP, which came out in September 2015, and peaked at No. 61 on the US Billboard 200 chart, significantly increasing her net worth.

The following year, Daya went on tour with pop-rap duo Jack & Jack, serving as their opening act, which also helped her increase her net worth and promote her own material. The same year, Daya released her debut full-length album “Sit Still, Look Pretty”, which reached No. 36 on the US Billboard 200 chart, while it also achieved gold status, further increasing her net worth.

Most recently, Daya released her latest single “New” through Interscope Records, and also worked with Illenium and Gryffin on the song “Feel Good”, which can be found on the second album of the American DJ Illenium, “Awake”, released in September 2017.

When it comes to her personal life, at 20 Daya is currently focused on her budding career as a pop and dance star, and remains single as apparently she doesn’t want any distractions.
