CM Punk, whose real name is Phillip Jack Brooks, is a famous American professional wrestler, commentator, actor, and former mixed martial artist. CM Punk made his debut in professional wrestling in 1999 on the independent circuit, primarily with Ring of Honor (ROH), where he earned the ROH World Championship once. He joined World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2005 and won various titles, including the WWE Championship twice and the World Heavyweight Championship thrice. CM Punk held the WWE Championship for 434 days, the sixth-longest reign in the championship’s history.

Although he had a successful wrestling career, CM Punk grew dissatisfied with WWE and left the company in 2014. He then pursued a career in mixed martial arts and joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) the same year. CM Punk had his first professional MMA fight at UFC 203 in 2016 but lost to Mickey Gall via submission. He went on to lose his second fight against Mike Jackson via unanimous decision at UFC 225 in 2018 (which was later overturned to a no-contest) and was subsequently released. CM Punk has also served as a color commentator for Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) and as an analyst on WWE Backstage.

CM Punk has used the ring name CM Punk throughout his professional wrestling career, and his character has consistently been shown as outspoken, confrontational, sharp-tongued, anti-establishment, straight edge, and iconoclastic. Depending on whether he is portraying a hero or villain, Brooks has emphasized different aspects of the straight edge lifestyle to elicit the desired audience response.

In addition to his wrestling and MMA endeavors, CM Punk has also ventured into acting. He had his first leading role in the animated film The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown! (2015) and has since starred in the horror movies Girl on the Third Floor (2019) and Rabid (2019). Brooks’ versatility and range as an actor have garnered much praise, and it will be fascinating to see what he will do next in the entertainment industry.

Brooks’ childhood was marked by his father’s battle with alcoholism and his mother’s bipolar disorder, which prompted him to adopt a straight edge lifestyle from a young age.

Who Are Cm Punk’s Children?

As of now, CM Punk does not have any children. On June 13, 2014, he tied the knot with his fellow wrestler April Mendez, who is also known as AJ Lee. CM Punk is a vocal supporter of LGBT rights and advocates for same-sex marriage. His personal life choices align with his wrestling persona, as he adheres to a straight edge lifestyle.

During one of the episode of “AEW Dynamite” in Houston, Texas, All Elite Wrestling star “CM Punk” Brooks made a strong political statement by wearing a t-shirt that declared “Abortion Rights Are Human Rights” while providing commentary for the match between AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page and Konosuke Takeshita. This is not the first time that Punk has shown support for the controversial topic of abortion, as he has previously expressed similar views.
